25 to Life

As some of you may know, I became a proud member of the Quarter Century Club this weekend – and what a weekend it was.

It started off with my boyfriend surprising me with a romantic (or what was supposed to be) bicycle wine tour in Niagara-on-the-Lake…45

I was so excited to see the picturesque landscape and get a taste of what the Niagara wineries had to offer…

The idea was to have a nice, relaxing day biking from winery to winery but twenty minutes in…torrential downpour…

The rain might have ruined my hair and outfit, but it wasn’t going to ruin my day. By the end of the tour we were acting like kids again, riding through the puddles and splashing each other. It was a great day, which included visiting four wineries and of course, sampling 3 or 4 different wines at each ;)

Just when I thought the day couldn’t get any better, I arrived back in Guelph expecting to be greeted by my family for a simple birthday dinner, but was instead shocked to find a surprise party of my closest friends and family members waiting to celebrate with me. They sure know how to make an old gal feel special!

I want to thank everyone for making this one of my best birthdays yet! Obviously these photos aren’t going to win a Pulitzer Prize anytime soon but that doesn’t mean they still aren’t worth a thousand words (thank you Steve Jobs for blessing us with the iPhone and making this blog post possible).

Looking forward to seeing what 25 has in store for me!
